These days, I often see people claiming computer games are art. Not to me they aren't. Maybe one day, but not yet.

Here's a long story about a relationship I had. But what does that have to do with computer games? Well... that'll become clear towards the end.

Impatient? Well, in short I think that games aren't at the level of art yet because they lack nuance and sophistication in their story-telling. I bang on about my ex because I reckon in that small episode from my life there's more expression and depth than there is in any computer game 'story'. Often people conflate story with plot - and computer games can have an awful lot of plot - but do you honestly think that any game or any character therein ever had anything as complex as this? And note that this was a minor part of my life.

Goodness, I hope she never sees this.

Music is the Open Goldberg Variations performed by Kimiko Ishizaka and is in the public domain (hence the 'Open' bit in the name). That's not going to stop someone claiming they own it - I fully expect a copyright claim on this one.

And I've used the word 'lesbian', so what's the betting YouTube reckons this isn't suitable for monetisation?
