Once upon a time, 20¢ a month for a comic was considered an unaffordable luxury for many families. It was that way in my home growing up, and I think I ended up with a collection of about 25 comics when I left home. I cherished those comics. I read them over and over again until their stories were etched in my mind for decades come and gone. I go on a lot about "covers", because I stood in stores looking at the racks of comics, staring at those covers, being moved by them, imagining their stories.
Now, I finally get to read them.
