It is a platform game similar to Donkey Kong, where the player controls a safari hunter who must avoid various obstacles and animals to reach and defeat a giant gorilla named Bongo. The game was ported to several home systems, including the SG-1000, a console released by Sega in Japan, Australia, and some European countries. The SG-1000 version of Congo Bongo has four stages, each with different graphics and challenges. The game can be played by one or two players, alternating turns. The game is considered to be one of the early examples of isometric graphics in video games.
