If you want to wirelessly connect your MacBook to an Android TV for screen mirroring or streaming content, this video walks you through a simple and effective method using a free third-party app called *FastCast*. This approach avoids the need for HDMI cables or other physical connections, making it a cleaner and more convenient option for everyday use.

While HDMI cables are a traditional solution, they’re not always practical—especially if you want the flexibility to move your MacBook around or avoid cable clutter. Instead, using wireless display options gives you more freedom and still delivers solid performance for general tasks like streaming videos, presentations, or browsing content on a larger screen.

To begin, make sure that both your Mac and Android TV are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. On your Android TV, open the Google Play Store, search for *FastCast*, and install the app. After launching the app, choose "Windows PC" from the bottom menu and select "OK" using your remote. The screen will display a "waiting for connection" status along with the device ID or name.

Next, switch over to your MacBook. Open System Preferences (or System Settings depending on your macOS version), go to the Displays section, and click on the "Add Display" button found at the bottom left. From the list, select the name of your Android TV or the FastCast display. Once selected, your Mac’s screen will begin mirroring to the Android TV within a few seconds.

Note that the resolution may appear slightly reduced by default because macOS adjusts display settings automatically for wireless streaming. If needed, you can tweak the resolution by returning to Display Settings and adjusting it manually for better clarity.

To stop mirroring, simply close the FastCast app on your Android TV or click "Disconnect" from the display settings on your Mac.
