1The first entry in the legendary crossover platform fighting game series created by Masahiro Sakurai and developed by HAL Laboratory, Super Smash Bros was released exclusively on the Nintendo 64 worldwide in 1999.
The first entry in the Super Smash Bros series as you would expect had a limited roster, this is after all long before the vast roster of fighters in later years. The roster of 14 was made up of Nintendo-owned characters with the likes of Link, Mario, Luigi, Samus, Captain Falcon, Fox McCloud as well as Pokémon, Pikachu and Jigglypuff.
