Console Fighting Games of 2003 - Naruto Ultimate Ninja
0A third fighting game based on the Naruto Anime and Manga series and another first entry in a new series of games, the Ultimate Ninja series that would run until 2017, with the series developed by CyberConnect2. The Naruto Ultimate Ninja series has proven to be one of Bandai Namco's most successful series, as of 2019 the series had sold 20 million units.
Naruto Ultimate Ninja is a fighting game with multi layered stages based around locations from the anime and manga with Ichiraku Ramen, Chunin Exam, Kikyo Castle, Sunagimo Estate, Great Naruto Bridge and more.
Naruto Ultimate Ninja was published by Bandai and Namco Badai and released exclusively on the PlayStation in October of 2003, this release was exclusive to Japan, a US release and European release would follow across 2006 to 2007.
