Zatch Bell!: Mamodo Fury, players dive into a 3D fighting game set in a world where every 1000 years, a tournament is held to determine the most powerful Mamodo. The protagonist, Zatch Bell, aims to win, but he can't fight alone—his human partner, Kiyo, reads from a book to activate Zatch’s magical powers. Players can control Kiyo or one of 19 other characters, each paired with a Mamodo, using spells and attacks in combat. Each Mamodo has four attack spells, one defensive spell, and a super spell. Players also have the option to switch control to their Mamodo, though this leaves Kiyo vulnerable.

The game offers various modes, including a lengthy story mode, stage select mode, and both 1 and 2 player versus modes. It also includes arcade mode and several mini-games for up to 4 players. Zatch Bell!: Mamodo Fury was released for PlayStation 2 in December 2004 and features multiplayer options for an engaging competitive experience.
