Console Sports Games of 1994 - Elitserien 95
0Elitserien 95 is a sports game based around Ice Hockey and is for the most part a modified version of EA's NHL 95 but with a Swedish skin over with team names, players and ice hockey rinks to represent the Swedish League the Elitserien (now SHL) the game has also been fully translated into Swedish.
Developed by 90s studios Neurostone one of only 3 games developed by the studio and High Score Productions. Elitserien 95 released exclusively for the Sega Genesis in 1994, as you would expect it's release was also exclusive to Sweden.
The Elitserien spin-off series would see a sequel the following year Elitserien 96, again for the Genesis and developed by the same two studios, a reboot of sorts for the series would come in 2001 for Windows, titled Elitserien 2001, this however was not a full game but rather an add-on for NHL 2001, this added both Swedish and Finnish teams to the game as well as Stadiums, jerseys and player names.
