Console Strategy Tactics Games of 1993 - Mahjong Clinic Special
1Released in September of 1993 exclusively in Japan and solely on the TurboGrafx CD, "Mahjong Clinic Special" is the follow-up to the 1990 PC-98 release "Mahjong Clinic Zōkangō."
Unlike its predecessor, however, "Mahjong Clinic Special" was not developed and published by the same studio as "Mahjong Clinic Zōkangō," Home Data Corp. Instead, naxat.CO took over the development and publishing for this game.
In "Mahjong Clinic," the player assumes the role of a school principal who takes female students to the hospital for tests. Players can choose specific locations around the hospital where they can challenge a variety of nurses, students, and patients to games of Mahjong. Outside of this story mode, an additional mode allows you to challenge characters from the story mode.
