Command & Conquer: Generals - Contra is a modification for Command & Conquer: Generals - Zero Hour. It was started in 2004 and reached is final release, Contra 009 final, in 2019.
Contra adds and modifies numerous units and strictures, making all subfactions more unique. It also adds three new playable generals as well as three boss general that utilise the best tech of their faction.
New are General Bao, the Flame General, General Ironhand, the Cybernetic General, as well as General Huchum, the Assault General.
Additionally, all factions have superunits. Only one of these can be built per player, and their power exceeds that of all common units.
Furthermore, experience needs to be gained to unlock higher-tier tech in addition to more support powers, and fewer units are tied to promotion tiers.
