A contract for the construction of a New Demerara Harbour Bridge will be signed soon. This follows the no objection by Cabinet to have China State Construction Engineering Corporation Ltd. to construct the bridge at an estimated cost of $51.2 billion dollars back in November 2021.

This was disclosed by Public Works Minister Bishop Juan Edghill during the Ministry’s end of year press conference.
