June deadline for new works at CJIA

The revised deadline for completion of additional works by China Harbour Engineering at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport (CJIA) is now mid-year.

The previous deadline for the multi-million-dollar project was December 31, 2021.

Minister of Public Works, Bishop Juan Edghill during a press conference on Monday said the delay in the completion of the project is due to reasons beyond both government and the contractor.
