Jesse wants to find and shut down the Slide Projector, an Object of Power which serves as a portal to different dimensions. One of those dimensions is the one the Hiss came from. But the FBC, or rather Dr. Darling, apparently hid the projector beyond the ashtray maze. The ashtray maze is a Place of Power which cannot be traversed by ordinary people and Jesse needs to find something that grants her the permision to pass through it. So, she goes and seeks the help of the janitor, Ahti. But where is he? On vacation?
