Control Group Basics - Dawn of War Micro
"Control, Control, you must learn control!" - Shas'o Kais, probably.
Assigning control groups are an easy way to select a specific unit, group of units, or building.
Using control groups to tech and train units allows you to keep your eyes on the action instead of having to move away. Control groups are set by selecting buildings or units and pressing Control+#. As an example Control+1 assigns 1 to whatever was selected. Then you press the number 1 and you have that selection.
Double pressing the assigned group will refocus the camera to the control group.
Units may also be assigned to multiple control groups. As an example, you might train a squad of Space Marines with missile launchers to an anti-vehicle control group, but also a general/all combat units group.
