Control is a third-person action-adventure game developed by Remedy Entertainment and released in 2019. The game follows Jesse Faden, a young woman who arrives at the Federal Bureau of Control (FBC) in search of answers about her past and her connection to a mysterious entity known as the Hiss.

The FBC is a secret government agency tasked with investigating and containing paranormal phenomena. However, when Jesse arrives, she finds that the FBC has been overrun by the Hiss, an otherworldly force that has possessed many of the agents and taken over the Oldest House, the FBC's headquarters.

As Jesse explores the Oldest House, she uncovers the secrets of the FBC, including the existence of Objects of Power, artifacts with paranormal properties that the FBC has collected over the years. Jesse also learns about the Board, a mysterious entity that oversees the FBC and communicates with Jesse through the Director's office.

With the help of other FBC agents, including the janitor Ahti, the scientist Emily Pope, and the security chief Simon Arish, Jesse fights her way through the Hiss-infected areas of the Oldest House. She also gains new powers from the Objects of Power, including telekinesis and levitation.
Throughout the game, Jesse learns more about her own past and her connection to the FBC and the Hiss. She ultimately confronts the Hiss's leader, the Former, and the FBC's former Director, Zachariah Trench, who was also possessed by the Hiss.

In the end, Jesse becomes the new Director of the FBC, with the Board as her ally. However, the game's post-credits scene suggests that the Hiss is still a threat and that there are many more mysteries to uncover in the Oldest House.
