Have you heard of wave power? It’s a form of sustainable emission-free renewable energy. Also called tidal power, it can provide clean energy to nearby locations.

According to the U.S. Energy Information Administration, the theoretical annual energy potential of waves off the coasts of the United States is estimated to be as much as 2.64 trillion kilowatt-hours or the equivalent of about 64 percent of total U.S. electricity generation in 2019. That’s a lot of power!

In this video, we bring you the science, engineering, and technology behind the clean energy firm Eco Wave Power.

The company claims to have developed an innovative technology for generating clean electricity from the ocean and sea waves, using a simple yet smart design in which their floaters are attached to existing man-made structures.

Does this ecotechnology work? It sure does, and it provides ample hydroelectric power. That’s a win for green energy and climate change mitigation.
