Cooking with Skorch - Tuna Casserole
Welcome to my first video with my new camera; just so happens to be my first cooking video too!
For the first episode, we'll be making Tuna Casserole. Quick and easy, able to fit anyone's tastes.
This recipe comes from my mom, who taught it to me as I was growing up. Hope you like!
Ingredients:
2 cups uncooked elbow macaroni
2 - 10 3/4 oz cans cream of mushroom (or similar) condensed soup
2 cups cheddar cheese
2 - 7oz cans of tuna
1/4 cup chopped onion
1 - 4oz can of sliced mushrooms
1/4 cup milk (estimated)
salt/pepper
*Other veggies/ingredients can be added/substituted based on your preferences
1) Preheat the oven to 375.
2) Bring enough water to a boil to cook the macaroni
3) While the water boils, chop the onion or any other veggies
4) Add the cheese, soup, veggies, and tuna to a large mixing bowl
5) When the macaroni is done, drain and let cool for 5 minutes or so
6) Add the macaroni to the mixture, mix well
7) Add milk as needed to achieve desired consistency
8) Salt and pepper to taste. Add to baking dish and bake covered for 45 minutes.
9) Let cool for 5 minutes
Makes about 6-8 servings
