Cool Gaming, Bros. Channel Update #01: January 2014
Our first channel update where we reach out to all the kind people who enjoy our videos. Your input helps guide the content on this channel.
Q&As:
Who are you guys and where are you from?
We are all real life bros from Florida who met in high school and still play online together. I am part Cuban and Venezuelan, and 25 years old.
What are the system specs for the computer you play on?
My gaming rig:
Radeon HD 7900
Intel I7-2600K.
16GB RAM
Main HDD: Kingston 120GB SSD
Video HDD: 1TB WD Black 7200RPM HDD
Game/Backup HDD: 2TB Seagate HDD
What microphone do you use?
I use a Blue Yeti USB mic, bought from Amazon.
How do you save and edit your videos?
I use FRAPs to save all our game footage and game audio to an HDD. Every person records his own voice in a .mp3 file using Total Recorder. I clean the audio using Audacity, then I combine the voice audio and game footage in Sony Vegas. I use a program called Virtual Audio Cable to separate game audio from voice audio at the time of recording.
How do you make the machinima for your videos?
Most games have a spectator function or a way to create it through console commands. I stage and film scenes within each game using these functions. For Warband, I set up my desktop to host a server while I connect and act out scenes on my laptop. Jeremy is often there to help me film things.
What is your favorite game of all time?
Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together for the SNES/PS1.
