[CORE] Vermleks, Cultists, and more Cultists - Wrath of the Righteous ep 9 - Naysmith Plays
Welcome back!
Phase 1 of today's Wrath of the Righteous: clear out the Market. I hate Vermleks. Multiple Mass Inflict Wounds spells? Yeah, this monster was clearly meant to annoy low-level parties and irritate anyone paranoid about HP below maximum.
Phase 2, rescue the Storyteller (and the Knights of the Flaming Lance). Unlocked Trickster as I did so, to the positive DELIGHT of Daeran. I say they were trying to trick us first, and turnabout is fair play! Shouldn't be too chaotic for Iomedae's taste in priests, since this is war and all.
Phase 3, talk with the Storyteller. It's long.
Phase 4, start clearing out Horgus Gwerm's mansion. I hit level 5, so now I have goodies like Shield Bash and Two-Weapon Fighting on Seelah, 3rd level spells on Nenio, the promise of 3rd level spells on everyone else in just one more level (or two more for Woljif, but he's a medium caster).
The game says my trickery to rescue the Knights was Chaotic. I say it was turnabout, neutral at worst. And it's war, and they're the enemy. Iomedae's a goddess of tactics, so she shouldn't be too offended. What do you think? Seen from the lens of "this is turnabout of their own tactics during war" would some Trickster stuff be non-Chaotic?
