Things are looking better, now that we've escaped Yuuya. Yuka's back in Satoshi's party, alive and well, and Yoshiki and Ayumi survive the nasty Science Lab. I HATE THE ANATOMICAL MODEL. Then we find out more about what happened to Sachiko. Honestly, while I feel it's terrible (as anyone would), I can't say I feel as sorry for her as the PC-98 incarnation, given her actions later on (aka, killing the three ghost children, causing the closed spaces, killing countless people for her own amusement rather than vengeance). And given how she's barely a threat, this is one of the saddest parts of the game for me: the fact that Sachiko is just put into the game for the sake of having a "Girl in Red".

With that though, we're on route to the true ending! ... is what I want to say, but while we're closer, still missing something rather important, so it takes a bit before I realize what I need to do. The steps to reach the true ending are REALLY specific, and it's REALLY easy to lock yourself in countless unwinnable by design scenarios if you don't know what to do. That's why I'm partially glad that I had a walkthrough to use, and partially annoyed that it practically REQUIRED me to use a walkthrough to beat the game.
