Corsair HS80 Max Mic Fix - how to improve the sound and fix issues
16Here's a quick video on the Corsair HS80 Max and how to improve the capture quality of the microphone to improve the sound and the audio. When the headset first released the microphone quality wasn't as good as it should have been considering the quality of the original HS80, but now Corsair has improved it with firmware. I'd recommend downloading the latest version of iCue and maybe even uninstalling and reinstalling it if you have issues.

The Corsair HS80 Max includes some very neat features such as:
- 2.4GHz slipstream wireless AND Bluetooth connectivity
- USB-C fast-charging
- Customisable sound with standard EQ profiles, Dolby Atmos and SoundID personalisation
- Nvidia Broadcast AI noise cancellation built into Corsair iCue
- 24-bit/96KHz high res sound (sample rate) wirelessly in Windows
The Corsair HS80 Max offers superb comfort thanks to plush memory
foam ear pads with breathable cloth fabric that feels almost velvety soft on the ears. It has a floating headband design that's comfortable but probably not ideal for larger heads but is adjustable and works nicely for me. The earcups are also removable so you can swap them out if you need to.

The most interesting feature of the Corsair HS80 Max may well be the SoundID technology. This basically runs through a number of tests to check your hearing and adjust the sound according to your own ears and your personal taste. The first test checks for hearing loss and the second just your preferences in terms of sound (e.g. more bass or a more natural sound). This tech really changes how the audio sounds and is well worth trying.
