Corsair's K70 keyboard now has adjustable actuation switches? K70 Max review
116Prawn here with a look at the Corsair K70 Max, an upgrade to Corsair's much loved K70 line-up which includes some pretty nifty enhancements.
The most exciting of which might well be the MGX switches, which are Magnetic-Mechanical switches that offer not only adjustable actuation points on a key-by-key basis but also the possibility to program two different actuation levels and then assign them different actions too!
The adjustable actuation includes variations between a super-sensitive 0.4mm and a much deeper 3.6mm, with 4mm total travel. What this means is you can have a hyper faster 0.4mm actuation for gaming, where a light touch is enough to activate a keypress or a longer actuation distance which works better for typing. Setup multiple profiles and switch between them on the fly to optimise what you're doing.
Other features include 8,000Hz Hyper-polling, a magnetic detachable wrist rest and two layers of sound dampening foam to improve the typing sound.
