Arc System has really been putting in work to get the fighting game community something to look forward to. First it was the return of the Guilty Gear series, then the announcement of Dragon Ball FighterZ, and now a crossover that non Mugen fans saw coming. It looks like the fighting game genre won't be experiencing a a fatigue anytime soon. Arc System has even sparked interest in a SNK crossover, so what does this mean for anime fighters and the fighting game genre altogether? Could they be leading the genre into a new Era? Will there be more crossovers in the works, will we see more mainstream anime series become competitive fighters?
