Could F1 return to this track to replace Spa?? (read description for info)
4With Spa potentially being under threat from being removed from the calendar, the Belgian Grand Prix may well still be able to continue. As you may know, Spa has been called out for its safety, with multiple deaths that have happened in the past at this historic track. The weather conditions have been notoriously difficult to forecast, and the Eau Rouge and Raidillon corners at Spa have seen many crashes and near misses over the years. However, the Belgian GP still could continue without Spa. Formula 1 raced at Zolder in 1973, 1975-82 and 1984. Could we see a return to Zolder, or will Spa remain on the calendar? That being said, Zolder has seen the death of Gilles Villeneuve too. Still, not as many deaths as Spa... With some adaptations to safety at the track (barriers, runs offs etc), Zolder could well be a better option for all we know.
