Going in blind into new roguelikes from developers of all levels. Playing, evaluating, and discussing game design until we find THE NEXT BIG ROGUELIKE.

In Episode 17, we feature RACK AND SLAY

The rogue-like dungeon crawler where you're a billiard ball! Push monster balls into holes or traps in randomly generated levels. Stack up countless game-changing items to create broken builds. Find combos to create your own synergies and customize your playstyle. Rack and Slay!

Notes from the developer, Fabian Fisher:
"Here's a little background on the development of Rack and Slay: For the first six months of development I was working alone and created the game with prototype art. When Graeme of 2 Left Thumbs joined as a publisher, we started looking for an artist to replace all the art and found Victor Negreiro (Estivador) who brought his own unique style to the game and added so many super fun animations. Game design and programming remained fully in my hands the whole time though.

Fun "design fact": The core concept of "you only ever aim and shoot" was there pretty much from day 1. I wanted to emphasize the casual, accessible and quick-to-play nature of the game and (while it does have the roguelike structure with drafting and all) make sure all the additional effects were contextual, so the player would only ever have to think about "aim and shoot" every turn."
