20This is the last thing you want to see when changing your CPU, its thermal paste or its cooler.
What you want to do before removing your processor cooler is to run the machine for a reasonable period of time to warm up and loosen the thermal paste then shut down and unplug everything release the catches and then gently wiggle and twist the cooler until it comes free, making sure not to apply too much force so you don’t rip the processor out of the socket.
