Telling the story of the 1990s, with perspectives from the crackers themselves and key figures in the industry, The Data Storm looks at the growth of the BBS (Bulletin Board Systems) and how cracking and copy protection affected the industry. With screenshots, galleries, artwork and diagrams, the games that were cracked and the software that helped - along with the industry's efforts to stop the pirates with hard-hitting adverts and police raids.

This second volume concludes with a 90-page interview section, recalling the memories of key crackers and programmer Rob Northen (who created copy protection schemes used by many companies).
