Being a fan of the series after getting the N. Sane Trilogy on Christmas 2018, I’m glad to experience such a classic series with modern day graphics. It was a really perfect time. After memorable years, we finally got introduced to Crash 4. So happy to see this game. I wanted to have a huge game with lots to do initially. That is what I got. Throughout casual playing, I enjoyed the 4 mask powerups that really brought something new to the table. There are pros and cons like always though. There are some parts in this game where it felt rushed but the pros outweighs them for me casually. I like how this game connects to the original trilogy in cool ways such as collecting the flash back tapes and visiting Cortex Island in 1996. Gems lost their value a little bit but I like the idea of them rewarding skins. Long load times are still an issue. I have to die every time if I want a quick reset for a time trial. Even when disabling the time trial ghosts, there is still a ghost in levels where I have to switch characters which is distracting. I know there will be some people that are going to be against this game having the Crash 1 hub world movement for traversing to different lands. My favorite aesthetic homeworlds are probably Tranquility Falls and The Sn@xx Dimension.

After beating the game, I decided to complete this game 106%. The new addition of N. Sanely Perfect Relics with long levels was really brutal. Mistakes have never been higher in a Crash game. I say that getting all platinum relics in this game is easier then getting all of the platinum relics in the N. Sane Trilogy.

The platinum trophy grind started from October 3rd to October 21st of me suffering. I’m glad that the next Crash/Spyro game will be Spyro 2022 so that I can relax, lol.

For the endings, I'm a little disappointed that the 106% ending was so short but the other endings was worth it.

Top 20 106% parts ranked based on my pain and personal experience. I did time trials last. Since I wanted to be done with the game at that point, platinum relics are placed higher on this list. Luckily I also got through some really tough parts without too much trouble such as getting the Bears Repeating perfect relic run without having to play that level 5 billion times. More stars means more frustrating it is in general.

What I did with vehicle level perfect relic attempts is making it to the vehicle part with 0 deaths then no matter how much I die, I will try and get all boxes each time to the end of the level. Then I got decent muscle memory. I consider myself lucky but Crash Landing really did suck for me loosing 4 or so runs right at the very end.
