Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped (N-Sane Trilogy) - Game Select Menu & Prologue
Now that my (non-Relic, non-DLC) N-Sane Trilogy playthroughs of Crash 1 & 2 are done, it's time to start on Crash 3! My favorite of the 3 Crash games on PS1, the very first Crash I've played, and overall my very first PS1 game, ever!
----------
The story of this game takes place right after the very end of Crash 2, where Crash (and Future Coco) have gathered enough Gems for Dr. N. Brio's laser, so said laser can be used to blow up his former lab partner, Dr. Neo Cortex's Cortex Vortex space station.
Unfortunately, a huge chunk of that destroyed station crash landed into a temple, releasing an evil mask called Uka Uka. He is Aku Aku's polar opposite twin, and as such, Aku Aku gains a bigger role in this game as he becomes the bandicoot's mentor and "father figure" of sorts.
Uka Uka's spreads darkness throughout the land, scaring Crash, Coco, Aku Aku, and Polar, back into their house. According to Aku Aku, he sealed his brother away a long time ago to save the world, but now that he's free, he has to be stopped at all cost.
Uka Uka was likewise not letting his brother get the upper hand once again. After Cortex has been beaten by Crash twice already, Uka Uka is losing his patience with the doctor's constant failures, as he now comes up with a new plan to take over the world.
With the help of Dr. Nefarious Tropy, Cortex and Uka Uka gain a new form of Warp Room known as the Time Twister Machine. They plan to use this facility to collect 25 Crystals that have been scattered all throughout time and history. Crash, Coco, and Aku Aku's mission is to collect all of the Crystals before the villains can manage to grab a single one!

My original PS1 playthroughs of Crash 1 & 2 were done through an emulator called PSNjin. However, my playthrough of Crash 3 was recorded with a Dazzle straight through playing it on a PS2. See my recording of the PS1 version of this game’s opening in all of its grainy glory, here!:
