About Game: Crash Bandicoot is 1996 action-adventure platformer video game developed by Naughty Dog and published by Sony Computer Interactive and Universal Interactive. It is one of absolute classics of PS1 era and one of first 3D platformers with titular character having became one of symols of gaming in general. This is the first game of the main Crash Bandicoot series which was followed by four more main installments released for both PS1 and PS2 as well as by various spin-off games and cross-over games with other PlayStation-affiliated characters such as Spyro the dragon. In 2017, this game was remade for eight-generation consoles as part of "N. Sane Trilogy" along with Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back and Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped, both originally released on PS1.
Story follows titular Crash Bandicoot, once normal Australian Bandicoot who was experimented on by evil Doctor Neo Cortex in an attempt to create animal mutant that would help him conquer the world. However, during the mutation process, Crash breaks free and escapes Cortex's laboratory, ending up washed up on N. Sanity Island while female mutated bandicoot named Tawna remains captive. After waking up and finding friendly tribal mask named Aku Aku, Crash sets off back towards Cortex's castle with an intent of stopping Cortex's plans and saving Tawna.
