Aye matey, there be massive differences here! The level is a lot shorter and also a lot friendlier. Fewer bombs, no seagulls and the pirate ship will only fire if you get really close to it. The final section is completely different from the finished product. I don't think it would have been possible to get the platinum relic in the full length level.
