The next track to win a Trophy from in The Lost Woods is Tiger Temple. It seems to be based on the dark ruins levels of Crash 2: Road to Ruin, and Ruination.

For some reason, this was named after Pura and is his signature track, despite him originally being associated with the Great Wall of China in Crash 3.

This track has a nice juicy J-shaped loop, with the middle of it taking you through hallways where you can see the other side of the lanes over a wall.

The biggest thing to know about this track, however, is its secret short. There's a door you can open here that give you a short path from the long curve. You can only open this path with weapons that you can throw or shoot forward, such as Beakers, Bombs, and Missiles. So if you don't have any of those items, you might have to skip out on the shortcut for at least one lap.

Aku Aku now goes further on the details of Power Sliding, which, I stress again, is the most important mechanic in this entire game. You can boost yourself with the opposite shoulder button to press (if you're Power Sliding with R1, hit L1 for the boost and vice-versa).

You will get a successful boost every time the smoke from your kart turns black (or alternately, when your turbo gauge turns red), and you can do this up to 3 times on a single Power Slide. To keep boosting like this, just hop into another Power Slide and repeat the process.

To extend on from Aku Aku's advice on this, when boosting this way, the turbo fire from it will only flash for a moment. You can keep a steady flame from other methods, such as driving over a green turbo pad or using the Turbo item. You can then use a Power Slide boost to store that flame for a bit long and keep it charged, allowing you to stay faster than your normal speed will allow.

For an advanced skill, try getting a raw boost from a big jump, and then get a Power Sliding boost ASAP. You may be able to store your turbo flames without the use if items or pads!

In short, if you REALLY want to be fast in this game, use the Power Slide boost as much as possible! I've been doing that a lot in this playthrough, so far, and I don't intend to let up on it!
