I have plenty of gameplays and footage to share that could help other Tomura Shigaraki mains out on learning the character in my hero ultra rumble. He plays A LOT like Stoneshaper from Spellbreak (A class I specialized in at one point & have very deep top level knowledge on) so I have a very funky style right now, I was able to finish the beta Top25 Global on the MVP Ladder (ACE Rank) but I have much to improve and optimize honestly. I cannot wait until the next beta or release, whatever it is, I miss this game already. I wish I can play soon, until then, I have A LOT of gameplays with more competitive lobbies, high kill wins, and showing off tech. {Friendly PSA: Shigaraki clearly needs a rework while at the same time I need to inform people about the matchup. The real reason Shigaraki is getting crazy damage is because there is no natural way to move around it. The counter to this type of ability is using elevation, structures and cover to negate them from being able to shockwave you. The problem in MHUR with this vs what Spellbreak Stoneshaper had for a solution is that there is no way to really use elevation, walls can be punished, the jump height is simply not enough, in Spellbreak people could just get over the shockwaves and use their movement to get to a structure/cover/ect where the slam cannot reach [usually on high ground] {NOTE: IN THE EARLY STAGES THEY HAD DOUBLE JUMP which honestly is the more balanced option} DJ fits an anime style game and would not only solve the problem w/ Shigaraki feeling polarizing in some scenarios but AOE spam overall. MHUR NEEDS DoubleJump
Shigaraki's A-Scaling needs a rework (Lvl1 is weak) LVL9A definitely needs NERFS [my suggestion is height nerf, width nerf, [give everyone double jump so they can jump over it onto a structure/behind cover/terrain/ect], 2ticks instead of 3 with a change to dmg numbers so it feels fair{to give people space to get out of it more often},. Shigaraki's pool actually isn't great, in top Elo lobbies people will often take 1 tick and jump/dodge out and immediately punish me for more damage with their abilities while in lag from activation/startup of w/e. It's strong situationally with structures/open fields and more so as a surprise atk tool rather then a full on engage [it also has ok usage for movement]. It's either really strong in some endgames or really mediocre depending on terrain & matchups. I really don't know what to say about this move, It's kind of whatever. Shigaraki's command grab feels really great sometimes & I think is a really fun tool in his kit with a lot of creative versatile options because of the cool swiggle dash movement you do, Stoneshaper in SB often got in trouble on the ground to disengage and had to use a movement rune ability + use a boulder to block incoming abilities, with Shigaraki it combines this into one while giving this archetype a unique way to travel and perform an offensive/defensive option. I'm in love with this move I just would like to see it function properly / no glitches [end animation of grab seems to glitch out and random stuff happens].
