4In this video I continue with my new course for TGC2019, I talk about how I approach designing my courses and the things that influence them. Please remember why your doing this and remember who your designing or creating this for. In my case this is just what I want to see and how I would want to play the game. As I mention your imagination is your only limit, be creative when designing your course and utilise every tool that's on offer to you, even if its not what its meant for.
Level designing as I call it is very subjective and personal, after if your creating something you bit a bit of yourself into it too, you also need to own it and make the design your own. Its good to copy other designers in the beginning just to see how they did things, but once you get proficient at it, you really need to start branching out and relying on your own skills and knowledge. However, remember one important lesson for free, don't think you know it all because if you truly want to be good at anything, you never stop learning, be prepared to accept your mistakes and to change, you can only get better. If you think you're there, be prepared for some home truths and set backs. The most important thing to remember is to have fun.
