Fortnite has become an ecosystem where anyone can create and publish their own games. In fact, nearly half of all time spent in Fortnite already takes place in games and experiences that have been created by players using the Fortnite Creative toolset.
Our mission is to build on this and empower anyone to create games and experiences in Fortnite to be enjoyed by millions of players.
To date, that has meant reusing Fortnite assets and combining existing devices—Fortnite’s primary building blocks for authoring game mechanics—to express one's vision. But what if you want to go further: import your own assets, script your own logic, or create worlds beyond Fortnite’s style?
That's what we answer and demonstrate in this talk, by providing an introduction to UEFN— a version of Unreal Editor that can create and publish experiences directly to Fortnite.
