I recently picked up Ground Branch and have been enjoying the experience. The game is currently in Early Access (Alpha) and is still considered a "Work in Progress."

The experience reminds me of what the original Ghost Recon, Rainbow Six, and Operation Flashpoint titles used to feel like. It is tense, easy to pick, and has many different scenarios and a handful of maps. Basically, it's a tactical shooter sandbox.

In this video, I am playing the Lone Wolf game mode, which allows you to dive into a mission solo. There are a lot of various settings related to the time of day and the time of year, mission type, AI enemy count, and various difficulty settings. However, at this point, weather has not been implemented.

With the various weapon types, from SMGs to LMGs, and many customization options for each weapon and map, you can run scenarios and experiment with them all. I highly enjoy this aspect of the Alpha experience.

Although the game is in Alpha, it looks amazing. I particularly enjoy the immaculate indoor environments, as seen here on the Crimson Steel mission aboard a Natural Gas Tanker.

There were some issues here and there; however, I did not find that any of them really interfered with my enjoyment. When this video was uploaded, the title's early access build included other game modes. I have watched some people play co-op and solo, like I have here.

I look forward to seeing where the development leads with this one, but I enjoy what is available for now.
