CrossCode is one of my favorite games in recent memory and I really wanted to make more videos of it, but just haven't been sure what direction to go with it. The I Hate Spiders! achievement seemed like a good place to jump back in since I could make something helpful but also dip my feet in the realm of CrossCode content with something a little shorter in format. At most ambitious, I could see myself making a very detailed and in depth lore analysis if I felt like going out on a limb or even a full guide on finding all 300+ chests in the game - at least, some other achievement guides and little tidbits. For the time being, you will have to make due with this I Hate Spiders! Achievement Guide. On the off chance you are actually reading this, tell me what content you'd wanna see of CrossCode.

lol I know you aren't reading this.

Some of you are weird and actually might be though, so I will give you a nice CrossCode: I Hate Spiders! Achievement Guide TEXT EDITION. Number one priority is going to be setting up your circuits for AoE damage. The endless challenge gets pretty spicy toward the 3+ minute mark and you need to be able to dole out damage to a large amount of enemies at a time to get the I Hate Spiders! achievement. Ragnarok and Polar Pirouette are my go to melee arts all the time and they serve their purpose plenty well in Endless Mode. The main combat art you want is the guard art in the Wave tree called Karma Scale - you could complete the challenge with this skill alone, but it will get pretty spicy and it is much more of a gamble. CrossCode is all about the elements, so don't be afraid to make the most of them during this by using your fire and ice arts.

Once we are in the arena you can take it easy for the first few minutes, but the spiders will start bombarding you just over 2.5 minutes in. Your main goal is to avoid being hit as much as possible, because like the achievement says, you hate spiders. You want to pay attention to which color of spiders currently holds majority, if it is green then use your fire art and if it is red then use your ice art. The Wave art is strictly for when your health enters the red state, since it is your safety net, make sure you always have at least half of your SP available to cast it.

There are two major conditions to getting the I Hate Spiders! achievement, first is not overloading and second is keeping SP available for use at all times. To keep your overload down, only use neutral attacks until you use a combat art. To keep your SP up, attack often and make use of dash cancelling to get in more attacks on each spider or group of spiders. CrossCode is pretty unforgiving with elemental overload, so be mindful of it or else you will be left without elements for a while which could easily mean the death of you.

Karama Scale is a pretty awesome skill when you are in danger, one of the best in CrossCode. I like to think of it as a restorative berserk state, you sacrifice your health in order to restore your health, which seems counter productive but can essentially mean invincibility if you play your cards right. During the hunt for the I Hate Spiders! Achievement, I recommend paying attention to what the spiders are doing. They don't use melee attacks, so you will want to watch for when they are going to cast a skill on you and either evade it or pop your Karma Scale before the get it off. This will guarantee you get damaged during its duration, which is necessary for it to pay off. If you activate Karma Scale and take no damage you will lose all your heath and gain none back. So... great job, you accidentally offed yourself.

If you aren't going to use the spiders' skills to restore your health then it will be in your best interest to avoid getting hit all together. All of their attacks are elemental based and will cause procs some of the time. If you get procced you will be stuck in limbo, unable to use level 3 combat arts for a while. This can mean certain death unless you have some consumables that have a very quick usage speed to keep you alive between dodges.

As I mentioned, the spiders in CrossCode's endless mode actually don't seem to have a melee attack. So don't be afraid to get close to them while hunting the I Hate Spiders! Achievement. As part of the guide, I remind you of this so that you can get into the big groups of them and really whomp away to build up that SP and knock off that overload. So moral of the story is, even though we hate spiders, we need to cuddle them... with neutral attacks.

I hope this CrossCode guide proved useful for you guys and you manage to get the I Hate Spiders! achievement with ease. I also hope that you took away some new combat skills from this video that you can use on your path through CrossCode. Expect to see some more content in the future from this game - it is great.
