Requested by metaljesusrocks, I'm playing Archon on the Nintendo Entertainment System. Archon is a game I used to play a lot on the Commordore 64, but I've seen very little of the NES version before. The game looks like a typical board game, but there are two things that make this game unique. The first is the game board has spaces that cycle colors from light to dark and back again that can give advantage to one side or the other. The second is when you try and capture a square an opponent is on you must fight for it.
Archon was original developed by Free Fall Associates and released by Electronic Arts in 1983.
The NES version of Archon was developed by Bulletproof Software and released by Activision in 1989.
