Crown Landing in Practice
Here I have an irrational focus on executing Crown Lands to show potential uses for the tech, so don't expect anything too snazzy. But as you can see we have a lot of potential here.
Both C-Stick Macro Crown Bounces are godlike with this tech, being very consistent when used correctly.
C-Stick Macro Crown Bounce's Pivot Jump Variant (C-Stick Macro Crown with you not having the crown) is godlike platform movement on Battlefield, it is literally like sex to pull off. I use Blunderbuss like an idiot here, as Up Tilt is amazing out of this and covers a lot of ground. Seems like a helpful antiair against those "Jump a bunch of times ~ land with a move" mongoloids out there.
C-Stick Macro Crown Bounce's Wavebounce Variant (Double Forward/Backward instead of the traditional input) is basically a tomahawk, think of Corrin's Special Hop if it didn't have 20 years of lag, and instead functioned as a move. We can approach with Jab or Instant Dash Attack, go for a tomahawk grab, or dash out of it. We can even jump again with NAir or FAir for some nice mixups. It's really, really nice. You can also zone with grounded Blunderbuss a bit more effectively by moving backwards.
And empty hopping generally just uses this now.
Oh and I have no fucking idea what that Crown Pickup was. According to Mnyush, it's exactly the same in execution as the Crown Landing we have here, although it just has Crown Pickup Frames instead. Do it 16 Frames before touching the ground for exactly the same effect as this tech. Thus, C-Stick Macro Crown Bounce's Wavebounce Variant works well to collect the crown from a platform as I did here.
General rules:
- Land near the end of the move. You should land after around half a second, Frames 35 to 45. You do this right, you're landing with significantly less landing lag.
- Any earlier, you get more landing lag. So there is significant punishes for not practicing this properly. Learn the spacing before hitting the floor, or just use C-Stick Macro Crown Bounces.
- You can use aerials after using this, although your improved landing lag won't happen. Blunderbuss makes this A OK tho, as shown here.
