Here is the second playtest. I managed to increase the details (the game probably determined them automatically, including the resolution 1024x600 , I didn't set anything)
First, make sure you have Wine Gecko installed. The game saves and reads some .xml files, Gecko can help with that. Next, install WineD3D 7.2 (stable, not staging). Add the variable "MESA_GL_VERSION_OVERRIDE=4.3COMPAT" to the shortcut. After that, you should get the same results.
The downside is that Turnip will cause the game to crash as usual after a while.
