I won the Indy car in the finales while minimizing spending on crates by using careful lock-ins to leverage the strength of the cars. In the end I was able to essentially beat the event with a bit of luck and about $26 bucks spent on the Finale.
The lock in order I used is Copo Camaro maxed, Mclaren Senna GT, Lamborghini Essenza, Glickenhaus 007 and finally the Mazda Furai. In doing it this way I was able to make it through the harder challenges with basically 2 stage 6s per car.
Overall the event is beatable with a lot of luck on the free crates and loyalty pulls as well as the event reward stage 6s. The Mazda can benefit well from getting the engine stage 6 with tickets as well and would beat the race 79 speed trap of 287 mph with that S6 installed.
