The Percussion Ensemble concert features a program of all percussion quartets for a variety of percussion instruments. The students, ranging from Freshman to grad students, perform “Credo in Us” by American composer John Cage, “Marimba Quartet” by Eastman School of Music Professor Michael Burritt, “DisArchitecture,” a piece by Dave Hall inspired by “deconstructionist” architecture, “Music for Pieces of Wood,” a minimalist piece for marimba by Steve Reich followed by a reflective piece for the same instrument: Transmigration by Phil Richardson, and the ethereal “Parallel” by Brian Nozny.

The performance was recorded by the RAMProductions student live event production team. RAMProductions was created by the Department of Journalism and Media Communication at Colorado State University with support from Campus Television (CTV), the College of Liberal Arts, and CSU External Relations.
