A small detachment of Legion troops were defending a small nuclear bomb. Their orders were to make sure it does not fall into the hands of the NCR, as it was to be used on NCR territories. Though it was instructed to destroy the nuclear weapon before capture was possible.

The Brotherhood Outcasts found out what the Legion was guarding, and took matters into their own hands on securing this piece of technology. They felt it was their duty to secure this piece of tech. A weapon which caused the end of civilization. Their forces are still fairly small in numbers, so they deployed several reprogrammed Protectron bots to aid in the fight. A scribe was sent for archival purposes and to hopefully help stabilize the bomb.

By the end, ultimately the Legion last the fight and sacrificed itself to destroy the nuclear bomb. Thus destroying everything within the local radius. Not one survivor made it out alive.
