CTWC 2020 is only a few months away and one thing that was absent this year was the regional qualifiers to have entry to CTWC paid for. Well in one of many Online Qualifiers I present to you the Classic Tetris Gauntlet Open: CTWC 2020 Qualifier.

Overall Rules
-24 seeds
-Original Hardware or Retron 1 and Retron 1 HD only.
-No entry fee
-Game Genie isn't required
-Face Cam isn't required but HEAVILY Encouraged as that the CTWC requirement
-Tournament match games must be played on lv 18

Qualification Process
-Qualifying is one attempt of 90 minutes
-The Average of your Top 3 Scores will determine your placement
-Lowest Level Start is level 9
-Timer Must be Displayed on Screen AT ALL TIMES
-No Game Genie codes allowed except ENEOOGEZ and XNAOOK (In the case that a score over 999,999 is scored we'll manual calculate it after qual ends)
-The Online Tetris Competitive Stencils must be used for qualifying
-After Attempt is finished VOD MUST BE HIGHLIGHTED and posted in the qualifying channel (on discord) following the pinned format.
-Winners of the CTM Master's Event Tournament are prohibited from participating
-Equipment must be verified before attempt

Round 0
-ALL PLAYERS MUST CHECK IN AT THE BEGINNING OF THE TOURNAMENT AND 15 MINUTES BEFORE THIER MATCH! Failure to do so will result in automatic disqualification from the tournament.
[If there is something that comes up let tournament organizer know as soon as possible so matches can be re arranged]
-Played on August 16th Starting at 12:15pm Central.
-Matches will have time slots so round 0 can go by as smoothly as possible
-Matches are Best of 3
-4 players playing at one time
-This will be streamed on the Hard Drop Channel

Round 1
-Round 1 will shortly follow but will be Best of 5
-Same Rules from Round 0 will apply
-Winners will get to play in the top 8 broadcasts on the 23rd On the Classic Tetris Channel


Quarters, Semis, and Finals
-MUST CHECK IN 30 MINUTES BEFORE TOURNAMENT AND 15 MINUTES BEFORE MATCH Same penalty as round 0 and 1 will apply
-All matches will be level 18 starts Best of 5
-There will be only 2 players on screen as opposed to 4 in Rounds 0 and 1
Prize Pool

The prize pool Consists of Entry to the CTWC 2020 cover for by CTWC brand and a sponsored prize pool by Kibi Byte of 200$. 2nd 3rd and 4th will each receive 50$ to pay for their entry to CTWC. 1st place will also receive 50$ in addition to CTWC paying for their entry
