I hope you have all enjoyed Milla being hilariously overpowered, but in order to move on with the game we unfortunately have to let them balance her, so let's head through the Milla nerf door, get powered down to Jude levels of power and roll the opening. Because of course that's how we get the opening to roll.

By the way, the opening animation is absolutely stellar, as Xillia was the first game to have moved over to using ufotable for its anime cutscenes instead of Production I.G. as had been the case in most of the other Tales games we've played. The music is also a pretty great bop, but what else do you expect from Ayumi freaking Hamasaki?
