Lilium Orbs are actually quite possibly my favorite level up mechanic in the series in so far as that you know exactly what benefits you're getting when and can even build towards specific ones faster if you really want. Having that choice in levelling up is unique to Xillia, though it does gently remind of the Strike v Technical trees in Symphonia.

Speaking of Symphonia, yeah, the Lilium Orbs certainly do sound a bit like Exspheres at this point, don't they?

Also also, I checked: they're actually called ALLIUM orbs in Xillia 2, not Lilium WEBS. I guess I just convinced myself they were called webs at some point because... well... LOOK at them!
