Sure this is a short test, also quite small sample size, but on average, I would say in terms of drops, it almost pretty much looks like this after I have done 1 hour of Mapping.
Just wanted to show the world it isn't at all unreasonable to expect up to, and even over 1 exalt per hour mapping with current exalt prices, with JUST currency drops. We aren't counting ANYTHING else in this video.

Get yourself a good filter (you can use mine!)
Don't randomly run around in circles in between maps in your hideouts looking for Leo, we all know you don't PVP.
Pop the next map in, clear it, don't pick up useless rares other than jewels and maybe jewelry in higher tier maps...

AND YOU WILL...ACTUALLY... Make quite DECENT currency!

also... play a build that clears at least somewhat quickly, doesn't have to be insane, but not like... puncture assassin maybe?
