Curse of the Idol Board Game Advert (UK 1990) (Audio Only)
1An audio clip of the 1990 British TV advert of the Indiana Jones inspired adventure board game Curse of the Idol. In the advert, a handsome Indiana Jones-like treasure hunter is seen raiding an ancient temple crossing rotating wheels and dodging snakes and finding a Bloodstone ruby. We then see 3 children (2 boys and 1 girl) playing the board game in their living room and one of the boys finds the Bloodstone ruby wins the game. I never owned Curse of the Idol nor played the game. It reminds me of HeroQuest. Indiana Jones and The Crystal Maze. In the game, 4 players dangerously explore a maze-like ancient temple which they must find a golden sword and use it as a key to release a Bloodstone from an idol and steal it and the first player to escape with the Bloodstone wins the game. I may keep an eye for Curse of the Idol sometime. It may turn up at my local Opportunity Shop. My friend Dave's shop or at any antique shop sometime in future.
