Anyway, the REAL beelzelbub of the franchise (probably) is the save couch statue from ritual of the night. as a fight he's divided into two phases. for the orb phase hachi and his wild stomp are your best bet. whatever you do, do NOT ignore the orbs! every time one comes out, immediately get ready to take it out however is most convenient. phase 2 is essentially the "spray and pray" phase, take the guy with the most health and damage and unleash hell on his chest crystal, try to eat as few attacks as possible. the fire pillars are best baited and as for the ice and fire beams, just hachi invuln if you can. the fire pillars are gigantic so don't mess around like I did, go to one end of the screen, the race to the other so that there's at least one safe spot by the third pillar.
defeating this boss with zanmatou gives you the good ending, but you really want the bad ending because it unlocks episode ex and subsequently shortens your overall playthrough. don't get the zanmatou, you'll get it in episode ex anyway.
