0Achieved, but not replicable outside of building your own kernel; went and built it from source and replaced the logo assets, then swapped out SYSTEM and KERNEL on previous installation to avoid loss of service. Previous attempts with replacing logo assets at different locations in the filesystem not effective during kernel run stage of boot.
